Joyce is developing a broad practice in civil and criminal law. She has experience in a wide range of criminal cases, including fraud and dishonesty offences, immigration offences, public offences and violent offences. On the civil side, she has experience in contract, competition, discrimination and employment, matrimonial, probate, land and property, tort, judicial review and public law.

Joyce read law at the University of Reading and obtained an LLM in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Laws from the University of Hong Kong. She joined chambers in 2019 upon completion of pupillage with Mr. Hectar Pun S.C, Mrs. Lisa Remedios, Mr. Joseph Lee and Mr. Richard Yip.

In her first civil trial, Joyce represented one of the parties in the second enforcement action brought before the Competition Tribunal: Competition Commission v. W.Hing Construction Company Limited & Ors (CTEA2/2017). Whereas in her first criminal case, Joyce obtained a bind-over order for a defendant charged with assaulting a police officer.

Joyce has appeared (as sole advocate or led junior) in the Magistrates’ Court, Juvenile Court, District Court, Family Court and High Court. Joyce is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. She is capable of providing written submissions and conducting hearings bilingually.
