Azan specialises in matters involving cross-border, public or administrative law elements. He also has experience in corporate internal investigations, discrimination, election law, labour and employment as well as legislative drafting. He has extensive experience in mediation, as sole mediator, joint mediator and advocate.

Azan is a published expert in family and child law. Azan also contributes to Archbold, the White Book, and Chitty. He has been recognised as a leading Family & Divorce Law Barrister in Hong Kong by the Doyle’s Guide (2020).
Azan advises a number of charitable organisations, as well as teaches matrimonial law at the University of Hong Kong and ethics and law at the Chinese University Faculty of Medicine.
